CLA - FA in WA!

Hooray for another wonderful family reunion!  

The Clawsons gathered in Washington* July 7-12, 2013 for a memorable week of kayaking, sailing, hiking, crafts, tide pools, dancing and lots of family bonding!

Neal finished.  He really, actually did.  No. More. Training. 
The graduation ceremony was last week, in a nice atrium at the hospital.  Afterward we walked around the hospital a bit, said goodbye to a couple people.  He took us to the observation dome so the kids could see an OR.  There was actually a case going on so we even got to see surgery.  Bonus.  It was a great evening.

 Instead of carrying his coats, the kids wore them home.  Everyone in the hospital thought they looked great.

Murray Memorial Day

Murray's went to Utah on Memorial Day weekend and had the traditional bike ride.  This time we rode the Jordan River Trail, which was beautiful!  This was Gabe and Jack's first bike ride and we had to stop often to keep them comfortable.

After the ride we went to Brown's where Marcelle fed everyone.  Some people played games, some swam, and the mom's napped!  Wonderful times with family.

Hey Fam - we attended Mattey's volleyball game Saturday night which just happened to be the Mountain Pacific championship.  I loved it!  And they won!  Here are a few pix for all to enjoy and a few video's (if I can load them).  OK, I couldn't get them to load.  I'll just do the pix and ask Sting to help me.  Way to go Mattey and team!

Spring Break trip to Bryce Canyon - The Browns March 2013

It was spring break for the Browns this last week.  After vegging out for a few days the girls and I headed out to explore Bryce Canyon.  I love that Whitney can help me drive now.  We were hungry near Fillmore so I googled places to eat on my iPhone and found Cluff's Carhop Cafe with lots of good review's.  Little place you might never stop at but boy, was the food good.  Anyone on their way south on I15, stop in! We found out Fillmore was the original state capitol of Utah.  Of course we stopped to see the old statehouse.

Then on to Bryce.  STUNNING!!!!  To me Bryce was more awesome than Zion.  The girls would vote for Zion because it had more wildlife.  The colors of the rocks were gorgeous.  Since it was off season we could drive all through the park.  We stopped at all the overlooks.  Wow!  We spent the night at Ruby's Inn.  The second day we drive through some of The Grand Staircase and visited Kodachrome Park.   There are a couple of pictures from Panguitch which you drive through on your way to Bryce.

One more celebration for Schipper

Because we can't stop partying, we did another celebration for Schipper being "Teacher of the Year".  We had a lovely dinner at Bu's where she had outdone herself decorating, including funny quotes from him along the front wall.  Then off to see Phantom - Bu, Clawsons, and Browns.  It was a great BYU production.  Here are some pix - 

 Do note the "pencils" I made out of Rolo's wrapped in yellow, pink at the top for the eraser and a Hershey kiss for the lead tip.  We had several trophies from DI to present to him and Bu had school
supplies strewn down the middle of the table.

Stephanie's Baby Shower

We had a baby shower for Stephanie and Michael's impending son - JACK.  It was a great evening.  As an added bonus we all got to see Hermana Murray (Kacy) before she left the next day to go into the MTC.  Stephanie requested a Disney theme for the party.  Here are some pictures.
